Best Shade fabrics

It is the same with shade solutions the way it is with everything else – there is always a cheaper alternative, but it also comes with a price. The bottom line is always that the best product regardless of need comes at higher prices, but that is where the secret is. If you know your specific conditions, you know which shade fabric is going to fit your needs best, and at the lowest price.

Take the HDPE (high density polyethylene) shadecloth, for example. This material is a dense and tightly woven fabric capable of withstanding more severe climate conditions such as wind shear and stress, waterproof and UV protected against the sun. But the drawback to this resistance is that the HDPE shadecloth is heavier, less flexible than its other counterparts. There is a perfect shade solution using the HDPE shadecloth, but it definitely is not going to be used for a portable hand carried umbrella. For Global Shade Australia, it carries the brands of Rainbow Z16, the Monotec 370 series and the Ainet Extrablock for the Hope shadecloth.

Less and less resistances of the same characteristics are present in other materials for shade solutions such as the lesser amount of UV protection, more flexible polyvinylchloride, though still as waterproof as the HDPE shadecloth. Polyvinylchloride may not have the same density of the Hope shadecloth to resist the wind shear and stress to be used as real sails in boats, but for umbrellas, awnings and canopies within certain size limits, polyvinylchloride will do. For Global Shade Australia, the brands for polyvinylchloride are PVC fabrics such as Ferrari 502 and GL100.
